Team Antigua and Barbuda for Paris Olympic Games – Under the theme Team Antigua Barbuda
It is with immense pride and excitement that the Antigua and Barbuda National Olympic Committee (ABNOC) presents the Paris Olympic Team, comprising 5 exceptional athletes, who have qualified to represent our nation at the upcoming 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France, scheduled to take place from the 26th of July to the 11th of August.
In the domain of Athletics, our talented athletes have demonstrated outstanding dedication and skill:
1. Joella Lloyd – Joella has successfully met the qualifying time of 11.06 in the female 100m event, setting a new National Record and becoming the second female athlete in Antigua and Barbuda’s history to meet the Olympic qualifying standards.
2. Cejhae Greene – Cejhae has impressively achieved the qualifying standard time of 10.00 in the Male 100m event, securing his participation in his 3rd Olympic Games. It is with great pleasure that we announce Cejhae Greene as the Flagbearer for the 2024 Paris Games.
The athletics event will take place from 1st – 11th August 2024
Diving into the realm of Sailing, we have Tiger Tyson representing Antigua and Barbuda in Kiteboarding.
Tiger’s awe-inspiring skills have earned him a spot among the top twenty in the world, with strong prospects of clinching a medal at the Paris Olympics.
Tiger’s qualification stemmed from his remarkable performance, securing second place at the 2023 PANAM Games in Santiago, Chile, marking his debut Olympic appearance.
The Sailing, Kite Boarding event will take place from 4th – 9th August 2024
Furthermore, we have two promising young athletes selected for Universality Places in the 2024 Paris Olympics:
- Jadon Wuilliez – Jadon will showcase his talents in the men’s 100m Breaststroke.
- Ellie Shaw – The remarkable 14-year-old Ellie will demonstrate her prowess in the women’s 100m Breaststroke.
The Swimming event will take place from 27th July – 4th August 2024
Our team will be under the experienced leadership of Joel Rayne, who will assume the role of Chef de Mission of the delegation at the Paris Games, complemented by the capable Mr. Thomas Greenaway as Team Manager.
The team will be supported by a Chaperone, Ms. Karen Joseph. A team official is in place for each sporting discipline, Michael Tyson, Team Official for Sailing, Mr. Jamille Nelson for Athletics, and Nelson Molino-Fojo along with a team doctor, Dr. Philmore Benjamin, and physiotherapist, Keston Daley to ensure the well-being and optimal performance of our athletes.
The ABNOC President, Hon. E. P. Chet Greene, and Secretary General, Mr. Cliff Williams will attend the IOC Congress, on 24th July as well as the Games. Prime Minister, Hon. Gaston Browne will also be in attendance.
To prepare for the Games, athletes in the disciplines of Swimming and Athletics will arrive two weeks ahead of their competitions to participate in the prestigious training camp hosted by Paman Sports. This camp, dedicated to athletes from the Americas, aims to provide professional training facilities and an opportunity for acclimatization in anticipation of the forthcoming challenges.
In the meantime, we take this opportunity to release, Team Antigua Barbuda leisure wear and tracksuit. The attire is designed using the colors of our flag, highlighted by the sun of the flag. The athletes will compete in the Adidas competition wear provided by the Olympic Solidarity uniform program as well as additional Adidas leisure and podium wear.

Cejhae my man still have a lot of work to do, you did it once and it’s still your PB, this is what you train for now it’s here let’s get that 10: again and we will be running in the finals.Tiger you in control let’s make it happen, for our swimmers it’s time we show them what 365 beaches can really do.
