The Falcons began their chase in blistering fashion, reaching 58 inside four overs, but lost both openers Rahkeem Cornwall and Jewel Andrew to Dwaine Pretorius. Karima Gore kept the tempo with a rapid 31 from 14 balls before Romario Shepherd removed him, sparking a collapse.

Tahir’s introduction in the seventh over proved decisive. A double-wicket maiden accounted for Shakib Al Hasan and captain Imad Wasim, triggering a slide from 77 for 3 to 116 for 8 as the veteran’s variations proved unplayable.

Earlier, Shai Hope and Shimron Hetmyer had powered the Warriors’ innings with a 106-run stand off just 44 balls. Hope struck 82 off 54, accelerating after a steady start, while Hetmyer blazed 65 from 26 deliveries, including five sixes and five fours.
Rain delayed play for nearly an hour, but the Warriors stormed back, with Shepherd adding a late unbeaten 25 from eight balls. They plundered 145 runs in the last nine overs, including 41 from the final two.
The result lifts the Warriors to second place with two wins from two matches, while the Falcons remain on top of the table despite suffering their second defeat in five games.

The Falcons have talent, no doubt, but they need more discipline in the middle overs. You can’t win CPL games losing five wickets in a hurry like that.
Start good finish bad?
The openers need to go but no one in Antigua will call them out because of the bias in cricket at all levels.
Falcons have been punching way above their weight. The team has no batting. When you see the team listing only Gore is listed as a batter. All the others are all rounders, wicket keeper and bowlers. That is the bottom line. Jewel has talent and will grow but presently lacks the experience. Cornwall needs to retire. Opening with Jewel puts even more pressure on young Jewel to try to hit 4s & 6s as there can be no quick ones and twos. Shakib is almost over the hill. The owner either will not spend the money to get the right players or the management picking the players have no idea what they are doing.
I think they gave that game away
Antigua and barbuda live to fight another day.
