Two women on a routine morning walk near Pigotts playing field reported a troubling encounter with a Spanish-speaking woman in a parked vehicle.
The incident occurred around 5:10 a.m. on Old Parham Road. One of the walkers said the driver repeatedly offered her a ride, refusing to take no for an answer. When threatened with a call to police, the woman allegedly drove off, hurling insults.
Minutes later, the same car was seen near the Landing Strip restaurant. The driver stepped out but quickly re-entered her vehicle. When it failed to start, one of the walkers photographed the licence plate.
The witness said the driver’s mention of “candy” brought back memories of the Chantel Crump case, urging residents to stay alert, especially during early morning walks.

So why would she think that offering grown ups candy will convince them to come with her. That is moving really desperate.
Spanish people don’t like black people. A Spanish person only associate with a black person to try and elevate themselves.
For all you know the spanish woman was high off some candy. I dont believe anyone was in real danger
@ Anya. After all that happened and how a child was brutally murder, you still think that way? While I respect your opinion, you seem.to be living under a rock.
Wait so is this a criminal ring?
Met I understand does look like Candy. If that stuff is hitting our streets, we are in for more trouble.
Children we know love Candy. They will be the target market.
That’s potentially another generation lost.
We should not take this as a” one Off “ event but a new scourge on our small society.
Let us hope that none of the above plays out.
