In the early hours of Thursday morning, law enforcement officers successfully conducted a drug-interdiction operation at the Port following the removal of suspected drug packages from a Port Authority warehouse.

The incident prompted immediate action, with officers being deployed to the Deep Water Harbour at approximately 7 a.m. on June 1 to investigate the security breach and break-in at the warehouse.

The operation at the Cargo Shed involved personnel from the Narcotics Department and the Customs Enforcement Unit.

Two blue barrels were meticulously searched, leading to the discovery of 13 vacuum-sealed packages, each containing cannabis.

The total weight of the substance was determined to be 13 pounds, with an estimated street value of $104,000.

Following the seizure, the two barrels, along with their contents, were transported to Police Headquarters for further investigation.

However, a businesswoman who closely follows these reports expressed her belief in a conspiracy involving high-ranking individuals.

She finds it highly unusual that an intruder was able to remove items from a securely locked warehouse overnight, without any attempts to conceal the act.

She contrasts this with the stringent security measures legitimate business people face during broad daylight.

The businesswoman also speculates that the subsequent drug bust was orchestrated to eliminate competition.

Lastly, she questions why the officers are not allowing the suspicious barrels to be cleared and then pressing charges against the individuals claiming ownership.

She points out that investigations often seem to be ongoing, yet she rarely hears about anyone being arrested, charged, or prosecuted for these drug-related incidents.

  1. People in high places are profiting
From the sale of illegal narcotics.
And it seems like government officials are looking the other way.
I suppose they are thinking the laws of suppy and demand.

My feelings is the authority will confiscated some of it and let some into the public sphere..
It is a social recreational drug that some people need and consume.
But when it starts to affect the young I have a huge issue with that.governmet should not be sanctioning marijuana use of three grams and four trees whatever the law is,
You are going to just encourage young people to start smoking and hence damaging their still developing brain cells.

    • laws or no laws people gonna still smoke to be honest cause weed is still not legal but hey people is still being caught with it the an the government is trying to regulate the drugs to make money from it to enrich them selves but with or without the government weed will still smoke to be honest SO NA BLAME THE GOVERNMENT BLAME THE PARENT THAT ALLOW THE MINOR TO SMOKE

    • These young ppl be smoking Crack and popping pills its not Marijuana alone they using they mixing it cause really and truly Marijuana don’t damage your brain cells

  2. Can I be prosecuted for something I didn’t ship. It maybe in my name. But until I leave the port with it I’m not claiming it’s mine.

After all. If it’s mine on the port why can’t I take it without paying. It’s not mine.

  3. The unknown intruder knew exactly what he was looking for….where to look….which mean he probably visited the port and located the package earlier. …all person entering the facility have to show cargo releases…their I D’S recorded….a port authority personnel have to take that person to locate his/her shipment etc.
There is no way in a warehouse that size with thousands of item…can anyone in the dead of night without prior knowledge of the exact location of what he going for would be able to just stroll in the warehouse and take what he came for and leave.
So what’s all the noise is about…he know who visited the port ..who presented his documents and which worker take the person to locate his shipment 📦.
The investigation start there….and remember everything at our new Chinese built facility is STATE-OF-THE ART.

  4. All these corrupt and illegal schemes always happen under the banner of ALP and there is never a conclusion to any of their so-called investigations. I’m sure that most of us remember the case of the Missing Rolls-Royce. The anniversary is so upon us.

  5. Last night on the news the burning of the narcotics was done in an environmentally unfriendly manner. The tires and plastics burning -🔥 sending black smoke into the atmosphere was so environmentally unfriendly. Yet we boast of leading the summit in the same news about the Vulnerability to climate change and seeking financially compensation. I don’t think we honestly care about the environment. Our involvement is to get more money to squander.

  6. Who cares about drugs at this time. The police need to focus on solving all the murder cases and armed robberies.
