An advisory issued yesterday to students of the University of the West Indies (UWI) Mona campus revealed that the graduands will have their ceremony online in January, 2021 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the letter, the graduation will take a format that is blended but predominantly online. The graduands and their families will attend the ceremony virtually.
The graduand’s name will be called by the Dean of the faculty and the graduand’s picture will be displayed.
The advisory was also posted by the UWI Mona Guild on their twitter page and many students expressed their disappointment.
