STATISTICS DIVISION SET TO CONDUCT CENSUS PILOT PHASE
The Statistics Division is today (November 27th) announcing the start of its Pilot Phase of the Population and Housing Census 2024/2025.
The Census Pilot is scheduled to commence on November 30 and run until December 20, 2024.
According to Census Officials, this phase will facilitate the testing of innovative tools, methodologies, and technologies to aid in the preparation for Census 2025.
During the pilot phase, field officers will cover 10 Enumeration Districts (EDs) across Antigua and Barbuda. The areas to be covered are Matthew Street back of Perry Bay and part of Grays Farm, Golden Grove School Area, Jennings, Liberta, Pares, Willikies, Pigotts, Clare Hall, Factory Road Area, and Barbuda.
The Census Office is encouraging residents to cooperate fully with the Enumerators as they conduct this most important exercise and persons are assured that all the information collected will be held in strict confidence.
Field Officers will be issued official picture IDs, and all officers will be appropriately attired in T-shirts with the Division’s logo at the front and on the back the tag ‘Census Pilot 2024 Population and Housing Census.
