It is with profound sadness and heartbreak that we, the family of Hon. Asot A. Michael, Member of Parliament for St. Peter’s, announce his untimely and tragic passing.

Early this morning, Asot was found dead at his Dry Hill residence, the victim of a brutal and senseless act of violence. This shocking news has devastated our family, his friends, and the wider community who loved and respected him.

Asot dedicated his life to the service of Antigua and Barbuda. A passionate advocate for his constituents, he was known for his unwavering commitment, resilience, and dedication to the people of St. Peter’s. His legacy of public service, compassion, generosity, and tireless work on behalf of his country will forever be remembered.

We are working closely with authorities to understand the circumstances of his passing and urge anyone with information to come forward. This is an incredibly difficult time in which we kindly ask for privacy as we grieve and begin to navigate the enormity of this loss.

We thank everyone for the outpouring of support, prayers, and condolences.
