Loop News – Police in St Vincent and the Grenadines are investigating the circumstances surrounding a shooting incident that resulted in the death of a man.
The deceased has been identified as Delano Patrick, alias “Smokes”, 33, of Layou.
The incident occurred around 1 am on Sunday in Middle Street, Layou.
Preliminary information revealed that Patrick was on his way home when he was accosted by an assailant(s) and shot multiple times about his body.
He was taken to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital (MCMH) for medical treatment where he later succumbed to his injuries.
A postmortem examination is expected to be carried out on the deceased to ascertain the exact cause of death.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
