St. Philip’s North MP Randy Baltimore says efforts are underway to expand opportunities for young people and local contractors as development projects move forward in the constituency.
In a statement shared on social media, Baltimore said a recent meeting was held with contractors from across St. Philip’s North to discuss upcoming works, including road improvements and the construction of curbs, drains, gutters and sidewalks.
He said the discussions centered on ensuring that development projects also create economic opportunities for residents, particularly young people and small contractors.
The MP described the initiative as part of a broader push to deliver on campaign commitments tied to empowerment and economic participation.
Baltimore said the goal is to provide “real opportunities” and meaningful involvement for residents, linking infrastructure development with job creation and community advancement.
He added that such efforts are key to building the constituency and ensuring that growth benefits people at the local level.
