Family, friends and supporters of Kahleel Simon are set to gather at Police Headquarters in Antigua and Barbuda on Friday to demand justice for the 18-year-old, who was shot dead by police on his birthday in Bolans on 27 August.

Kelvin Simon, the area’s Member of Parliament, urged residents to join the demonstration, calling for transparency and accountability in the ongoing investigation.

“More than two months on, the family and community are still waiting for the truth,” he wrote on Facebook.

The protest is scheduled to begin at 3pm. Earlier this month, demonstrators gathered at Bolans Police Station.

The case is being treated as a Coroner’s Case, with a Coroner’s Inquest expected as part of ongoing proceedings.

  1. Bad boys, bad boys
    Whatcha gonna do?
Whatcha gonna do when they come for you?
Nobody naw give you no break
Police naw give you no break
Not a soldier man give you no break
Not even you idren naw give you no break
    Hey, hey

  2. At this point they are just being pests, nuisance and loud mouths. No amount of protest can change the system. Bear in mind the killer of this young is a police, and as the minister over them said, he thinks the police acted right and within their line duty. At this point, you guys are just wasting your time and energy.

  3. Kahleel was a good youth. Everyone in Bolans knew him. He didn’t deserve to die like that. We standing strong for him Friday 💪🏾🕊️

  4. No one is above the law not even those who wear a badge. If this investigation is genuine, then let the public see it. The community has every right to demand openness and fairness

  5. I’m glad Kelvin isn’t backing down. We need representatives who actually feel the pain of their people, not just talk around it.

  6. Antigua has become a lawless state under these bandits who masquerade as honourables and they continue to push back on every issue that identifies them as culprits. The latest is the more than $15 mil stolen from the treasury.
