St Kitts to collect departure tax directly from LIAT customers

Loop News — The St Christopher Air and Sea Ports Authority (SCASPA) announced that LIAT’s service from the Robert L Bradshaw International Airport would no longer have the departure fee included in the ticket price.

SCASPA said the new policy goes into effect from October 1.

Passengers would have to pay the EC$100 (US$37) fee via cash or card at the Airport Finance Office.

SCASPA said passengers travelling on or after October 1, are required to present their ticket, boarding pass, and passport at the counter at the Airport Finance Office on the day of travel.

“Passengers who have already purchased their tickets and paid the departure fee as part of the ticket price will be exempted from payment,” SCASPA said.

  1. Now that’s a very wise decision hope all the other countries follow suit and collect all other fees quarterly such as Landing fees or else you will end up back in the same situation as before being owed lots of money without being paid.

  2. Well said RR.LIAT (1974)LTD IS under Administration of BDO.I would think that the ADMINISTRATOR OF BDO SEAFORTH would ensure all BILLS are being PAID on TIME.
