St. John’s came alive on Saturday as 13,312 cruise tourists arrived aboard four ships, including home-porting vessels Arvia and Emerald Azzura. The cruise sector has reached a historic high with 806,111 passengers this year, reflecting the industry’s strong recovery.

Tourism Minister Charles Fernandez anticipates continued growth, projecting up to 900,000 arrivals in 2025 and monthly visits from large ships. By year-end, Antigua and Barbuda expects over 1.1 million visitors, underscoring the nation’s appeal and the tourism sector’s post-pandemic resurgence.

  2. Oh gosh man for Gods sake do something about the city, please. You boasting bout the amount of people coming to visit and doing nothing to clean up an improve on how St John’s look and smell. 13,000 last Saturday and more to come. I see them walking all around in town and I smell our drains and I know they smell them too. Our buildings also need to be repainted. Big up the place other wise they going elsewhere.
