Students from St. John’s Catholic School took part in a guided educational tour of the cruise ship AIDAperla, gaining first-hand exposure to the maritime and cruise industries through an initiative organised with Antigua Cruise Port.
The students were welcomed aboard by the ship’s crew, led by General Manager Aubrey Miranda, and engaged in interactive activities designed to highlight ship operations and career opportunities in tourism, hospitality and maritime services.
Antigua Cruise Port said the tour forms part of its ongoing youth outreach programme aimed at building awareness of the cruise sector’s contribution to the national economy. The port authority added that similar educational ship visits will continue, with schools invited to register interest for future tours.
