A leadership election within Antigua and Barbuda’s Spanish community will go ahead on January 11 without opposition after no challengers registered by the deadline, long-time community representative Alex Martinez said.

Martinez confirmed the vote will proceed unopposed, despite efforts to attract other candidates.
The election follows years of internal controversy, with some members of the Spanish-speaking community questioning Martinez’s legitimacy and arguing he was never formally elected or appointed. Those concerns prompted calls for a transparent, democratic process to determine community representation.

This guy is nothing more than a two-bit hustler.
He and his friends are taking advantage of a Government that has little or no concern for the welfare of the DR people except for their vote.
If the Government do not step in and take control of this farce, they will regret it down the road.
This Spanish guy is going into elections without opponents then claiming he was elected. You no need elections if you have no opponents. He is printing electoral papers with only his name. This is hilarious.
Still up to know I don’t know what type of elections those Spanish are doing. Are they claiming a seat in the Government? Or the government of Antigua allocate some funds to this group?
Are we going into “don” mode?

Antigua and what? Antispa? Y’all better nip this shit in the bud or you’ll regret it.
