In a tragic turn of events early this morning, a heated dispute between two soldiers turned deadly when one of them retrieved a service weapon and shot his colleague, Tevon Daymon, at GDF Camp Stephenson in Timehri.

Senior military officials have revealed that the altercation began with a disagreement between the two ranks, leading to a physical confrontation.

As Daymon attempted to flee, the other soldier armed himself with a high-powered weapon and fired multiple shots, fatally injuring Daymon.

Emergency medical services were immediately sought, but Daymon succumbed to his injuries shortly after.

The assailant has been apprehended by authorities.

The exact cause of the dispute remains unclear, although reports suggest tensions had been building between the two soldiers for several days.

Both the Police and Military investigators are conducting a thorough examination of this tragic incident.
