Solar Refrigerators Provided to Antigua and Barbuda Health Facilities

1

POINTE XPRESS – The Ministry of Health, Wellness, Social Transformation, and the Environment is initiating the installation of vaccine solar refrigerators, a generous donation from the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) funded by the Government of Canada.

The Ministry will allocate these three refrigerators to key clinics in Antigua and Barbuda: the Villa Polyclinic, Bolans Clinic, and Hannah Thomas Hospital in Barbuda.

These solar-powered refrigerators are vital for storing vaccines effectively, ensuring the accessibility and potency of vaccines in remote areas, and marking a significant step towards improved healthcare infrastructure.
