Solar lights and cameras to prevent theft on farms

The government is considering a new strategy to deal with the age-old problem of praedial larceny.

“Cabinet agreed to assist those farmers whose farms are subject to praedial larceny by planting solar lights and maybe even cameras, at certain points on the farm in order to deter thieves,” government’s Chief of Staff Lionel “Max” Hurst announced.

Many farmers complain of massive losses of their pigs, goats and sheep—quadrupeds—in large numbers on a single night.

One farmer was viciously attacked by a thief who stabbed the farmer on his own farm when he tried to stop a thief from taking his farm products.

The government says APUA and National Housing will collaborate with the Ministry of Agriculture to identify the farms most in need of the support.
