Calvin James’ sister Ineta Liburd said her brother’s guilty pleas do not heal the pain he caused when he attacked members of his family in October 2018.
James, who is also known as “Burga”, shot and killed his niece, Tahisha Thomas and his nephew’s girlfriend, Sanchezca Charles.
The man also turned his weapon on his nephew, Lawrence James, who was injured but survived the attack.
“That hurt so much to hear that all over again and I am not even happy of whatever he plead guilty because that cannot bring back my daughter and I nearly lose my son and cannot even bring back my daughter-in-law. If they know how her mother feel and the pain that I am in right now”, Liburd told state media.
James pleaded guilty to two counts of murder and one count of shooting with intent to murder on Friday.
“I am in so many pain that I’m sick constantly, sick, sick, constantly. I have done my brother nothing, over a land, which is not his nor mine”, Liburd said suggesting the shooting may have been related to a property dispute..
James evaded police for three months after the shooting incident.
While he was on run, Liburd and other members of her family were placed in protective custody.

The woman later left the country out of fear that her brother would launch another attack.
“Whatever he plead or the sentence that he’s gonna get, that cannot bring back my child, cannot bring back my family together”, she said.
”My child is a young girl, have a future ahead of her and this man just go into my place and take my child life, you understand, for no reason” the mother lamented, “I can’t even catch myself for today, this man has bounty over my head, say he’s not resting until me dead and when me dead he can dead. Have a bounty, can you imagine”?
At the time of the October 2018 attack, James was on bail on charges of attempted murder and wounding with intent.
Those charge stemmed from a May 2015 incident, in which he stunned Liburd with a taser gun and chopped her daughter, Amanda James with a cutlass.
He pleaded guilty to those offences last July.
“In the first place when he damaged me in 2015, they have no right to let out this man because this man come out and this man is threatening me. I go to the Grays Farm police several times, I get no justice until this man come back and actually nearly wipe out my whole family” Liburd complained.
“If I was home sleeping, probably this man would’ve cleaned up everybody in that house, you understand, but God make it so good, I left go to work, leave my daughter to get organized to go to work and next thing I can get the news that this man go there and kill my child for what, no reason”, she added.
James will be sentenced for the 2015 and 2018 incidents at a single hearing in March.

People need to let go and move on.
You let go and move on when it’s yours smh
Why the truth is hurting you soo much and making you crass?
Who are you? You have no heart. Did you hear that she lost her daughter. Have you ever lost a loved one? Have you ever had any family memebr murdered? People dont get over losing a loved one. They have to continue living yes but you never get over it. Especialliy when they were brutally murdered. Have a heart man.
Are you sane?
Sorry, it’s not that simple. It’s impossible to “let go” until this killer is hung by the neck until dead. As soon as that sentence comes down, and he is hung the very same day, there can’t be any “letting go”. Justice begins at the hanging. His days of killing are over. The death penalty is routinely carried out by our friends and allies in the United States, China, Philipines, most of Africa, Venezuela, Cuba, etc. etc. He already declared himself guilty, and now must face the gallows in order for JUSTICE to triumph. May God have mercy on his soul.
Hung you say? Are we not a christian society? How can you advocate the hanging of some one? Shame shame shame. We really need help in this place.
An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, and a life for a life. That’s as Biblical as it gets. We must return to the Holy Word of the Holy God.
CErmle..this is priceless…How can one say “People need to let go and move on.” like they have no feelings, like parts of their family was not just wiped out..plus a child you carried for 9 months in your belly with all the wonders and not so wonders of that time..hard labor, joys of bringing your child up and then one day gone..not by an accidental car crash which is bad on its own but by premeditated murder BY a family member!?
lol yea we a Christian society but na wish to advocate for the hanging of someone whose life is now “extremely precious” even after PURPOSELY taking the life of others smh
Move on yea right
