Sir Ronald Sanders Installed as University of Guyana’s 11th Chancellor

The University of Guyana is formally installing Sir Ronald Sanders as its 11th Chancellor in a ceremony now underway at the institution.

Sir Ronald Sanders, a veteran diplomat and Ambassador of Antigua and Barbuda to the United States and the Organization of American States, assumes the ceremonial headship of Guyana’s premier tertiary institution at what officials describe as a historic moment in its development.

The installation marks a new chapter for the University of Guyana as it continues to expand its academic programmes and regional partnerships. University officials and invited guests gathered for the formal proceedings celebrating the milestone and welcoming the new Chancellor.

Explains why he made the PM blame Antigua for the VISA mess although it was clear it had nothing to do with overstaying…Nobody love overstay in the US more than a Guyanese, in the 90’s esp they misused our passport as a fast track to the US, yet he had the heart to blame Antiguans…. Saunders should never have been ambassador, Webson, who is visually challenged has done far more for this country than he ever will..

  2. One day we’ll get a full explanation as to how this out of touch [sic] Ronald Sanders became Antigua’s Ambassador. Doesn’t it just beggar belief?

    There are more worthwhile Antiguan individuals that deserve this prestigious appointment.
