PARIS – 26th May, 2023…Antigua and Barbuda’s Minister of the Environment Sir Molwyn Joseph has proposed an eight-point strategy that he envisions will reinforce the commitment and accelerate the drive to end plastic pollution across the globe by 2040.
Sir Molwyn was at the time delivering an address to the High Ambition Coalition to End Plastic Pollution Ministerial Meeting, taking place ahead of the second session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee to develop an international legally binding instrument on plastic pollution, including in the marine environment (INC-
- that will take place from 29 May to 2 June 2023 at the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) headquarters in Paris. The coalition, led by Rwanda and Norway was launched in early 2022 and brings together over 50 countries unified around the common goal of ending plastic pollution.
Vulnerable countries, like Antigua and Barbuda, are negatively impacted by this significant environmental threat despite contributing very little to it. “Given our vulnerabilities to environmental threats, and distinct geographical circumstances, plastic pollution puts an added strain on our limited waste management capacity,” Sir Molwyn told his ministerial colleagues at the briefing event.
Against this backdrop, he urged the meeting to aim for the highest possible ambition in striving to eliminate plastic pollution. His eight-point proposal calls for among other things, ‘closing the tap by addressing unsustainable sourcing and extraction of raw materials to make plastics.”

He better not sign away Antigua’s sovereignty to the World Health Organisation, or come to that any other unelected body.
WHOA MOLWYN WHOA … WHERE’S THAT BRIDAL? MEK MI TIE HE 😁
But wait! How he never skin he teeth like this when he meets up wid he political brethren or sista dem?
Has Sir Molwyn been to our beaches lately to see all the plastic bags and other mess left there to be pulled into the sea?
Where are the garbage areas in the beach?
Also this needs to be an effort with ministry of education. If from 5 years old you are taught the dangers of this, I can guarantee these kids will hound parents to clean up after picnics.
Oh, how it hurts so bad, when they see our competent ABLP politicians being respected abroad. But who God Bless no man curse.
And we know a king is not honored in his own country. But that is life. We will not let that deter us from our path. We are moving on. Let the dogs bark. Woof woof woof, while the wagon moves on.
See you guys in 2028. By that time you will get plenty more licks
Keep taking Brixtonian’s bait @ From The Sideline. 😁
It seems that it is ok by you, for Molwyn Joseph to continue to allow Antiguans to keep pumping the dangerous AstraZeneca trial vaccine into our bodies (despite the UK and Denmark banning its use – and then supplying us with it!!!) that continues to cause serious adverse reactions and deaths to this day.
But what does Sidey cry about?
The use of WORDS by Brixtonian to highlight Molwyn’s utter departmental INCOMPETENCE, and meking joke ’bout he!
I bet you don’t even know that Molwyn is about to sign away Antigua’s SOVEREIGNTY to the World Health Organisation – an UNELECTED health authority.
YOU UTTERLY AWFUL SHILL AND HUMAN BEING …
… I do enjoy responding to you Sidey, because in some way I believe that you do have some sort of link to the ABLP, even though at a very LOW level 😁

Brix do you know how many dialysis machines we have ordered for the new renal centre? 35.
As I said, while the dogs bark the wagon moves on. Many more patients will be treated now right here at home. And more kidney transplants are happening. It did not happen by chance. It’s the work of this man called Sir Molwyn Joseph, who is revolutionizing our healthcare sector. Heart transplants will shortly be one of the surgeries done right here in Antigua.
I note with interest that you haven’t mentioned anything about how Molwyn Joseph is about to sign away our rights to the WHO regarding future health and pandemics (don’t you realise the serious implications for the country?).
Any views on the above, or even that the Health Minister wants Antiguans to keep taking the BANNED AstraZeneca vaccine.
Your silence is deafening on this issue Sidey … 🤔
Brix, you really expect me to respond to your stupid questions. Man be real. A sovereign country cannot sign their rights away. They can be part of a treaty. Like Antigua is part of the Treaty of Chaguaramas and many more treaties within treaties you may pledge to certain things. Like we have pledge to the free movements of nationals. When you start talking nonsense, please do not expect me to engage you. Let’s take our discussion to a higher level.
Do you ever wonder if we need more dialysis because the tap water is brown?
That about the Serenas that are going throughout the length and breadth of this country selling plastic bags daily by the rolls. They sell to the fishing folks down by the fish market, to the vendors in the vegetable market daily and the farmers outside the market every Saturday. They go around to the local shops and supermarkets. Every the baker shops sell bread in plastic bags . Ah we too harden ! We are messing up the environment. If it were black pickie headed Antiguans they would have been charged long time.
