
Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre Lab Team Trained to Strengthen Arbovirus Detection

The laboratory team at Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre has advanced its capabilities in diagnosing arboviruses such as dengue and Zika, following a week-long training facilitated by the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA).
The initiative forms part of a regional effort to improve early detection and laboratory response, enhancing Antigua and Barbuda’s readiness to manage and contain future outbreaks.
