SOURCE: REAL NEWS – Former MP Kelvin “Shugy” Simon, in light of the upcoming by-election in St. Mary’s South, emphasizes the importance of closely monitoring the voters list.
Prime Minister Gaston Browne alleges that voters were intentionally transferred from St. John’s City West to other constituencies before the January 18 elections to benefit his party.
However, no action has been taken by the Antigua and Barbuda Electoral Commission (ABEC) or the acting director of public prosecutions (DPP) to investigate Browne’s claim.
Simon is determined to prevent Samantha Marshall or the Labour Party from unlawfully winning the seat.
He will pay close attention to any transfers into St. Mary’s South to ensure a fair by-election.
Simon remains prepared for the alleged practice of the Labour Party buying votes, as he believes it is their usual approach.
Nevertheless, he trusts that the people of St. Mary’s South cannot be swayed by such tactics, as demonstrated in the recent General Election.
