  1. Isn’t this a personal decision? Most of them don’t even know how they got pregnant. Do you really think responsibility for an embryo can stop the carnival? It seems that carnival has just become a lawless, naked, wutless time, reminiscent of Sodom & Gomorrah. We love it so and as long as the masses love it so, no politician, who are our decision makers, will intervene and make changes. In fact, their silence will be deafening. Getting elected is more important than making positive changes for the good of future generation. Baldwin Spencer had directed “Talk as you like”. Now it is do as you like. Live as stink as you like. Who cares? We love it so. And then when the youths follow the lead of the leaders and adults, we blame them.

  2. @ True Davis
Not surprisingly, seven(7) lines this response are the rants of the self-righteous right. The rest of this so-called letter to the editor is about the.blame-it-on-the- politician nonsense. We are all doomed.

  3. True Davis if the head is behaving badly what else we should expect. I pray that her and the others recover quickly. But the wutlisniss needs to be buried.

  4. PREGNANCY IS NOT A SICKNESS.
Nothing wrong with a pregnant woman being front and center in carnival.
In fact the wining and girating will be helpful during labour.

  5. Yes she does. Cause the baby father be gone the second she give birth (if he aint gone already), therefore it might be her last chance to enjoy carnival (if she actually plans to take care of the baby and wont just expect granma/auntie to do so). GIRLS PROTECT YOUR FUTURE, USE PROTECTIONS! Man is 50/50 resposible but he wont take accountability, ENJOY YOURSELF BUT TRY NOT TO GET PREGNANT!!!!!!

  6. You are so right, Straight Shooter. Our ancestors were labouring in the fields until the baby was due and that may have helped them to have a smooth delivery. It’s not for all women but women know their bodies and can decide for themselves.
The most important part is post-delivery rest and recovery.
And carnival is like the priesthood. Good intentions and mostly positive with a few demons about.
    Bless.

  7. Not if she plans to jump up with the rest of the revellers. When alcohol and music mix together, there is no telling what people in a band will do. Of course, it’s her body and she decides what’s best for her but, she’s should not just think of herself, the child’s welfare is paramount. And why inconvenience the rest of the people jamming in the band? Are they to form a circle of protection around her? Come on. No one is saying to stay home, but stay out of the way of the revelry. Sidewalks still allow you to enjoy the fun, ent it?!!

  8. @Faithful National #1,
You have lost faith, and now we are all doomed.
    No! Not true.
You are just a hopeless loser; whose faith in corruption has run its course.

Get yourself something to put you out of your misery, so we can celebrate.
