Seventh-day Adventist church distances itself from “Glorious Hope” located on Herbert’s Main Road

The Seventh-day Adventist Church wishes to clarify its position and relationship to the group  “Glorious Hope” located on Herbert’s Main Road, Antigua.

The church is acutely aware of the general state of misunderstanding and confusion that has  been created over the past several months with respect to the formation of what some are  calling a new Seventh-day Adventist Congregation. This state of confusion has been heightened  by the unfortunate public statements that were made on Observer Radio on April 12, 2022 by  two leaders of the Glorious Hope Ministries indicating that they were indeed Seventh-day  Adventists.

The South Leeward Conference of Seventh-day Adventists hereby wishes to inform  the general public that it has absolutely no affiliation with this group. The Seventh-day  Adventist Church does not sanction independent ministries. It does form working relationships  with Supporting Ministries under clearly specified criteria.

Such relationship is one of trust and  cooperation where the Leaders of the supporting ministry are all members of the Seventh-day  Adventist Church in good standing and where the ministry is loyal to the fundamental principles  of the Seventh-day Adventist Church inclusive of the recognition of the authority and structure  of the church at its various levels.

The Seventh-day Adventist Church holds no hostility towards any member of the group. We  further respect the religious right of any person to choose in matters of religious affiliation. We  acknowledge that any person, Seventh-day Adventist or otherwise, is free to visit any denomination.

It is however important that we state publicly that the circumstances under which this group  was formed and operate, are contrary to the principles of the Seventh-day Adventist Church  Organization. As such, we desire the public to be made aware that, notwithstanding the public  pronouncements by members of the “Glorious Hope”, the Seventh-day Adventist Church has no  affiliation whatsoever to this group. We have no congregation on Herbert’s Main Road and  none of our local congregations carry the name Glorious Hope.

We wish for the public to be guided accordingly.

  1. The leaders are all seventh day Adventist teaching the same Adventist doctrines.. Jesus is coming soon Pastor Green let us all work with each other.

    • The “Seventh day” is an authentic name given to a parent organization. Should another group be created without the consent of that parent organization, it definitely cannot operate under the umbrella of that parent organization… It is just down right wrong regardless of the believes & doctrines…..

      • No I am a Seventh-day Adventist and will continue to be one. I know the leaders personally. They are ALL Adventist. Money is the problem here.

      • Why are we so passionate about these religious names whether its Pentecostal, Baptist, non denominational or even seventh day Adventist? Non of them are in the Bible. They are all man made regions that we hold so dearly. Can anyone find any of these religions in the scriptures? Can someone tell me the book, chapter and verse where either a prophet, Jesus or any of the disciples claimed to be any of these religious names?….. If not, then ask yourself why do I claim these religious names?

  8. Rome circuitry system is booming in the Adventist and many other churches. The structure needs to change. This system is making a way for the antichrist to easily slip in through one head and pass down to others. Why this circuitry system though?

  10. But isn’t the doctrine and the Bible what makes Seventh Day Adventists who they are? Not the organization. They follow the same doctrines as far as I see it. So is the organization angry that they aren’t recognizing them as a leader? The true leader is God! Preach the gospel and share the truth!! Let’s look forward to Jesus’ Second Coming!

  13. Pastor Green did a fantastic job during Covid and this new cult.. but I find his condemnation of the deceit by Glorious Hope members to be a bit weak.. not frank enough, but diplomatic.

  14. Many SDA fail to recognize that there are numerous seven day and adventist denominations worldwide, and some of them are older than the SDA that we see here in Antigua. These seven day and adventists groups are sometimes involved in serious disagreements. A little research will clear this up. THERE ARE MANY ADVENTIST and SEVEN Day DENOMINATIONS, NOT JUST THE ONE MOST OF US ARE FAMILIAR WITH HERE IN ANTIGUA.

      Not everyone who attends Adventist or Seven day Adventist or any other denomination is saved. Some who attend church on Saturday or Sunday curse badwords daily, sleep around, hate a brother or sister in their heart, lie, steal, backbite and the sins go on and on. He who is without sin, go ahead…can’t the first stone! God is not sleeping and He is a just God.

  17. There will be no denominations in heaven nor will there be any circuitry system!…there will be those who are saved and not just Adventists or the likes.

  18. What is the problem. This is the last days, we will see more of this, once the gospel has been preach and God’s people are not mistreated, it doesn’t matter what denomination it is. Jesus said Peter upon this rock I will build my Church and the Gates of hell shall not prevail. He did not built His church on a denomination. I’m really tired of us that call our self christians.
