Seven patients recover, active COVID cases drop to six in Antigua

The most recent reports received by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment from the Mount St. John’s Medical Center (MSJMC) and the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) have revealed no new laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda as of Monday, Oct. 26 at 6 pm.

Subsequent to the publication of the dashboard on Monday, 19 samples were processed at the Mount St. John’s Medical Center’s Laboratory, which increased the pending results from 54 to 73.

All 19 samples processed by MSJMC yielded negative results and are reflected in the total samples taken and total tested columns of the dashboard.

Of the 54 samples processed by CARPHA, 52 were negative and two positive. The positive results were repeat tests.

Meanwhile, seven new recovered cases have been recorded bringing that total to 115.

Consequently, the total number of persons with laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda remains at 124 with six active cases.

The dashboard has been updated to reflect these changes.

  1. About 4 days ago we got the news some persons here have covid and now i am hearing they recovered. Thats faster than trump. Has the virus weakened ? I remember earlier in the year they said some health workers that dealt with covid patients got the virus, Are they dealing with the patients differently now? I find alot of things are kept in secret , alot of missing information that left people to wonder .
