  1. Comment *That is why several streets don’t have running water for months because of the clogged and corroded water line.

  2. We really have to start doing things properly in Antigua and Barbuda because these short cuts will ultimately end up costing us much more in the long run. Most of APUA distribution pipes are old metal pipes all of which have outlived their usefulness and are badly corroded. In addition to that, most were layed many decades ago and were installed under the road network. So when they a leak as so often happens, the road has to be dug up in order to facilitate the repairs. We need to just bite the bullet and replace the service pipes once and for all to long lasting, durable PVC pipes that are properly installed at the sides of the roads such that there is minimal road damage if there is need for pipe repairs or to fix leaks. We always seem to be penny wise and pound foolish.
