A senior police officer in Antigua and Barbuda has expressed frustration after her court case was postponed once more.
Tulip Horsford, a veteran of the Royal Police Force for over 20 years, left the courtroom visibly upset after proceedings were adjourned until 10 June. The case stems from a fatal accident on 18 May 2023 on All Saints Road, which claimed the life of 18-year-old Keane Gregoire.
Horsford’s daughter, La-Shanti Cooper, was allegedly behind the wheel of a Toyota BB when the vehicle crashed. Police say she was speeding when she lost control, veering off the road and colliding with a column. Cooper, then 19 and holding only a learner’s permit, initially denied driving. She later faced multiple charges, including causing death by dangerous driving and driving without a licence or insurance.
Horsford was charged separately for permitting her daughter to drive without insurance. The case has faced repeated delays, prolonging the wait for justice.

And while the case is pushed back, both mum and daughter has resumed living their normal life. Sad!
Why so many delays?
My only question is if it was a regular citizen, Would the case be dragged like this?
In my opinion, this case should have been settled long time… Something isn’t adding up.
Don’t they think the family of the victim needs closure?
So this is really going to be another case where ranks and postion win?

She have some nerve to be angry when another mother is without her son.,your status as a police officer only show you should’ve known better and deserve to be punished and your daughter should be in jail awaiting her punishment.
So, she mad they’re both remanded to prison or her friends helping to eventually drop the case???
