Senator Shenella Govia is now Minister of State in the Ministry of Education

Senator Shenella Govia has been appointed a Junior Minister in the Gaston Browne adminstration.

She took her oaths of office during a brief ceremony at Government House today where she also received her instruments of appointment.

In addition to Senator she is now Minister of State in the Ministry of Education and Sports.

    While you gallivanting in the UK, Prime Minister Browne ah manoeuvre behind your back so.

    Anyone who knows about demotion or removing someone, whether it be at the workplace, business or in governance, it’s the best time whilst someone’s away.

  5. @ Rovi, just to let you know that the UPP do their due diligence when it comes to vetting and getting the right candidates, so that honesty and integrity is built within the party.

    Remember, 2028 is more than enough time to select the right candidates.

  8. Brix- I think she was appointed that quite a while now. What is new is her appointment to Head of government business in the Senate. I must say however that neither Daryl or her showed any interest in the Minister of Education since they were appointed years ago. I guess she is not the substantive Minister and cannot be blamed.
    On the other hand on Thursday heard he on Observer radio with Dr. Jackie Quinn and she was impressive. She has grown leaps and bounds and is now a class above all the active female politicians to include Hon. Maria Browne. She has a great reputation with PM Browne. As she said her sealing goes beyond the Sky.

Molwyn has a Minister of State in his Ministry.Daryll has a Minister of State in his Ministry.How many more Ministers of State do we need?We the taxpayers are paying their salaries.How many more Ministers of State do we need?While there are people suffering financially in Antigua and Barbuda.Gaston is using our money to pay those people to learn on the job.They would be running on his ABLP ticket very soon.
