(SOURCE ABS)-Senator Knacyntar Nedd-Charles, Parliamentary Secretary within the Ministry of Barbuda Affairs, expressed disappointment over the absence of Barbuda Council members at last Thursday’s opening of the new international airport.
She described the event as bittersweet, noting the emotional significance for many Barbudans but expressing frustration that Barbuda’s schools remained open, missing an educational opportunity for students.
Nedd-Charles was hopeful after a recent meeting between the Barbuda Council and the Cabinet of Antigua and Barbuda, which she believed would ease tensions.
Despite the Council’s absence, she welcomed Prime Minister Gaston Browne’s renewed offer to collaborate on Barbuda’s development. (SOURCE ABS)
