Senator Lamin Newton says Antigua and Barbuda is seeking to strengthen international partnerships following his participation in the Morocco-OECS Economic Promotion Week.

Newton said he represented the country at the forum, where officials explored opportunities to expand trade, attract investment and deepen economic cooperation between the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States and the Morocco.

He said the discussions focused on building strategic relationships that can support entrepreneurship, sustainable development and long-term economic growth for small island developing states.

According to Newton, the event also allowed him to exchange ideas with regional and international partners and gather insights that could help advance Antigua and Barbuda’s development.

Newton said representing the country on the international stage provides opportunities to build relationships, learn from international partners and identify initiatives that could benefit the people of Antigua and Barbuda.

  1. Was anyone like Veronica , “3 questions” there? No, Lamming must be saying. “thank God.”

  2. Why is our tax dollars paying for Lamin to travel on behalf of the government, when he is not a minister, junior minister and anyone in official office. Like what is going on here?

  3. I ain’t cursing him, no identity politics here, because when the Caucasian or mulatto people rolling we are quiet at that since it’s institutionalized that white people must supervise us, even Gaston say he will always put a Caucasian person as tourism minister because white investor will rub shoulders with them, lammin is more deserving than Ron saunders.

  4. THE AMOUNT OF TRAVELING DONE BY THOSE WITHIN THIS ADMINISTRATION. THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD BUY A SMALL JET.THIS IS SO DISGRACEFUL. THAT MAN KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT ECONOMICS. HE WENT TO AN ECONOMIC FORUM TO REPRESENT THE NATION OF ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA. DWAYNE GEORGE,HOW IS THE IP GOING.
