Dwayne George: Senator Dwayne George, in collaboration with the team from the Ministry of Finance, proudly represented Antigua and Barbuda at the 2025 Spring Meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund held in Washington, D.C.
This high-level global economic forum brought together policymakers, central bankers, finance ministers, private sector leaders, and representatives of civil society to deliberate on the world’s most pressing economic challenges.
Antigua and Barbuda’s presence at the table reaffirmed our nation’s commitment to sound fiscal governance, sustainable development, and strategic partnerships.
Senator George, as part of the official delegation, engaged in a series of strategic discussions and policy dialogues aimed at enhancing resilience, securing financial and technical support for climate adaptation, strengthening public sector performance, and ensuring continued investment in people-centered development.
The delegation underscored the unique vulnerabilities faced by small island developing states, particularly in the context of climate change, debt sustainability, and post-pandemic economic recovery.
Through these engagements, Antigua and Barbuda reinforced its position as a forward-thinking Caribbean leader advocating for inclusive growth, equitable financing, and the urgent need for global institutions to tailor development frameworks to better meet the realities of small states.
This mission was not only a representation of our government’s proactive international posture, but a declaration that Antigua and Barbuda will continue to stand firm, speak up, and work tirelessly on the global stage to secure a more sustainable and prosperous future for our people.

Where is the journalistic integrity of this portal?
Story begins “Vote Dwayne George:”
Did he go out to campaign or represent Antigua?
It continues:
“Dwayne George represented……..”
Gives the impression that he was the sole representative.
Later in the story reads, “Senator George as part of the delegation………”
Not one other member of the delegation is identified since none is seeking political office.
Seems like this government is not passing an opportunity to campaign and push their candidates into the spotlight.
Then again who is there to represent?
Weston is not desirable and is not in government day to day running.
Gaston is out camel riding with Pixie at tax payers expense.
No one else available but the man who has been described as pompous, FOS, disrespectful and bombastic.
I would love to see his report if he was head of that mission.
Let him come anyhow.
He has the two time winner to meet.
Hon Kelvin “Shuggy” Simon awaits his arrival.
It be more blows.
Ok, great, so the over inflated windbag represented Antigua and Barbuda, what turns on that, does that mean next election we should vote for him, ice would have to freeze in hell first. Traitors are supposed to be tarred and feathered. Next time the people round south will send a clearer message
Big up to Dwayne George. Hope he pushing real issues, not just photo ops.
what’s the real benefit for the man on Market Street?
Is there a report we can see?
If he coming back with grants or debt relief, then bless up!
Please tell me we ain’t borrowing more money!
No. That’s the “Sunshine Government” trademark!
I trust Dwayne George to represent us properly. He always come across sharp.
