Antigua and Barbuda’s Minister of Culture, Daryll Matthew, has publicly thanked the country’s security forces for their role in ensuring a safe and orderly Carnival.
In a brief statement shared during the ongoing festivities, Minister Matthew expressed gratitude to officers stationed across the city, highlighting their efforts in maintaining law and order.
“Big thanks to all our security personnel for keeping Antigua Carnival safe and smooth so far,” he said, adding that while only a few officers may be visible, many more are working quietly behind the scenes.
The Carnival celebrations continue this week, with large crowds expected for major events such as the Parade of Bands and Last Lap.
