All public and private schools will resume usual student transportation services on Tuesday morning and afternoon, following a period of adjustments due to the fourth international Small Island Developing States (SIDS4) conference.
Today, May 27, schools switch to remote learning to accommodate the conference’s opening ceremony.
The Ministry of Education made this decision earlier this month, anticipating significant traffic disruptions island-wide due to the event.
Since last Tuesday, May 21, school buses have been unavailable for field trips and other activities, and this will continue until Wednesday, June 5.
All school officials were informed of these arrangements via a missive dated Monday, April 29, titled “SIDS4 Conference and its Implications for Schools.”
