19 May 2025 – A delegation of Saint Lucian exporters, currently in Antigua and Barbuda for the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association’s (CHTA) annual event, paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Ambassador Clarence E. Pilgrim on Monday morning.
The visit formed part of the broader 2025 OECS Trade Mission, which is designed to strengthen regional commercial ties and boost the visibility of OECS-based products and services across diverse sectors including agriculture, manufacturing, and health and wellness.
Ambassador Pilgrim warmly welcomed the delegation, commending their initiative and underscoring the value of regional cooperation.
“It’s important that we build stronger trade relationships with our neighboring islands, These types of engagements open the door to new opportunities, shared resources, and mutual growth all of which are essential to the sustainable development of our region.” Ambassador Pilgrim stated.
Also in attendance was Senior Trade Policy Analyst Jomica Carbon, who praised the visit as a meaningful opportunity for both trade advancement and policy exchange.
“This kind of collaboration is essential not only for business development, but for fostering innovation and deeper integration across the OECS.” She said.
While in Antigua and Barbuda, the delegation will continue to engage in networking activities, site visits, and stakeholder meetings as they explore avenues for trade and partnership within the region.

Big up to Ambassador Pilgrim for representing Antigua good.
Saint Lucia and Antigua have a lot we can exchange in trade and culture.
I wonder if this included discussions on shipping and logistics—always a problem.
I just find Pilgrim love to be in the spotlight too much lately
