Saint Lucia ends Antigua and Barbuda’s unbeaten run at ECCB Netball Series

Saint Lucia handed Antigua and Barbuda their first defeat of the 5th ECCB International Netball Series with a 45-33 win at the Tanteen Netball Court in St. George’s, Grenada.

Antigua and Barbuda had opened the tournament strongly, beating Anguilla 63-17, Montserrat 53-14, and Guyana 60-10, positioning themselves as early favourites.

The 10-team competition features all seven ECCB members – Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines – alongside invited sides Barbados, the Cayman Islands, and Guyana.

  1. One defeat doesn’t erase three blowout victories. Antigua and Barbuda are still one of the best teams in this tournament – it’s how they bounce back that matters.

  2. Credit where it’s due, Saint Lucia played smart, disciplined netball. They earned that win and showed they’re real contenders.
