Saharan Dust Brings Moderate Air Quality to Antigua and Barbuda
Antigua and Barbuda is experiencing its 22nd wave of Saharan dust this year, with the Meteorological Service issuing an air quality bulletin on Sunday afternoon.
The 3:00 p.m. advisory rated air quality as moderate (AQI 51–80), noting that conditions are expected to persist until Monday.
While the health risk remains low for the majority of residents, unusually sensitive groups such as asthmatics, people with heart or respiratory conditions, children, and the elderly have been urged to exercise caution.

Officials advised those affected to limit prolonged outdoor exertion, particularly during peak dust hours, as fine particles carried by the dust plume can aggravate breathing difficulties.
The Antigua and Barbuda Meteorological Service continues to monitor the situation and will provide updates via its website and social media platforms.CLICK HERE TO JOIN OUR WHAT’S APP GROUP
