Runway Renovation at V.C. Bird Airport to Begin Soon with Night Work Schedule

Renovation work on the runway at V.C. Bird International Airport is set to begin shortly, with repairs scheduled during night hours to avoid disrupting daytime air traffic.

The two-year resurfacing project will employ new, specialised equipment, which will be housed in purpose-built sheds constructed to high standards to ensure proper maintenance and protection.

Airport authorities say the upgrades are essential to maintaining safety and operational efficiency at Antigua and Barbuda’s main international gateway.
