If you have paid the MRV fee, it will remain valid until September 30, 2022. MRV fees are non-transferable. We cannot accept MRV fees from outside our consular district.
The Embassy continues to process Interview Waiver (IW) and Renewal Interview Waiver (RIW) cases. We have recently expanded the eligibility of this program, and you MAY now qualify to renew your visa by mail. Health and Safety
In order to protect the health and safety of our personnel and the public, we follow strict social distancing practices in our facilities. All applicants must wear face masks at all times while visiting the Embassy. Applicants must also adhere to all local health protocols including any mandatory quarantine requirements. Please note that there are no exceptions for local mandatory quarantine requirements – you will be turned away and not allowed entry into the Embassy.

The Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy in Bridgetown is responsible for providing visa services to those seeking to enter the United States for a temporary period and for those wishing to take up indefinite or permanent residence in the United States.
Renewal Interview Waiver (RIW): The Department of State, in consultation with the Department of Homeland Security, has temporarily expanded the ability of consular officers to waive the in-person interview requirement for individuals applying for a nonimmigrant visa in the same classification. Previously, only those applicants whose nonimmigrant visa expired within 12 months were eligible for an interview waiver. The Department of State has temporarily extended the expiration period to 48 months. This policy is in effect through December 31, 2021. This change will allow consular officers to continue processing certain nonimmigrant visa applications while limiting the number of applicants who must appear at a consular section, thereby reducing the risk of COVID-19 transmission to other applicants and consular staff. At this time, you must be a citizen and passport holder of Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, St. Lucia, St. Kitts and Nevis and St. Vincent and the Grenadines to qualify.
