World Peace Day – Sunday, 21st September 2025
Theme: “Act Now for a Peaceful World”
Today, we join the global community in observing World Peace Day under the theme “Act Now for a Peaceful World.” This day is more than a reminder of the challenges we face—it is a call to action. It urges us, individually and collectively, to build bridges of understanding, to resolve conflicts with compassion, and to sow the seeds of peace in our homes, our communities, and our world.
As Rotarians, this message resonates deeply with us. This year, Rotary International has challenged us to “Unite for Good.” When we unite for good, we move beyond differences, beyond borders, and beyond self-interest. We come together with one shared vision: a world where justice, kindness, and peace are not ideals, but realities.

Our Club has seen firsthand that peace begins with service. Whether through our Meals on Wheels programme, our support for education, or our outreach to the vulnerable, each act of kindness is a step towards a more peaceful society. When we help feed the hungry, when we mentor a young person, when we extend a hand instead of a fist—we are acting now for peace.
On this World Peace Day, let us recommit ourselves to being agents of harmony in Antigua and Barbuda and beyond. Let us remember that peace is not the absence of conflict but the presence of justice, understanding, and opportunity. And let us carry forward the spirit of Rotary, uniting for good so that together we can truly act now for a peaceful world.
Thank you.
