The Chief of Staff in the Office of the Prime Minister, Lionel Max Hurst, has announced road improvements leading to the America University of Antigua (AUA) ahead of the 4th International Conference on Small Island Developing States (SIDS4) in May.
The upgrades aim to ease traffic congestion caused by the influx of visitors. Specifically, the section of road from the AUA compound westward to Cedar Grove will be improved.
This will divert some traffic from Jabberwock Road, addressing public concerns.
The government will use private land, including some of Mr. Shoul’s land, for this purpose. The conference, expected to host high-profile dignitaries, will take place on the island from May 27th to 30th.
