  1. ALWAYS THOUGHT UP THERE WAS LIKE THE WILD WILD WEST…GUNS FOR EVERYONE. THE SIGN AT THE DOOR SAYS ” FOR ENTRY WITHOUT GUNS”.

  2. what has become of the case with “Icecream” and the hit-and-run-return-to-the-scene?

  3. This is certainly a most unfortunate event. There aren’t many persons that I would vouch for but i can put my neck on the block for Dawson. He is a gentleman among gentlemen. Regrettably in this current environment, many are led to keeping firearms as a means of defending and protecting themselves and their business and most business owners can attest to that. I am not at all condoning anyone having an illegal firearm and amunition but there is a big difference when someone keeps a firearm for defensive purposes to when they keep it for offensive and illicit activities. Dawson was never and is never a hostile and offensive person. Those of us who are privileged to know him, knows him to be an absolute peach and just about the nicest person you would ever find anywhere. It is my hope that the Magistrate would take his outstanding character into consideration at the sentencing phase.

  4. Hmmmm…He has a successful business I am sure he has a firearm license and the additional weapons were most likely for sale….Two money cyah fight…Make the paper by any means…

  5. The new paradigm mantra of pro-active community policing is a welcome stance, to be effected with the goal of cognizance for the community protection and wellbeing. Thus stated. There must be a pathway for citizens of reputable character and cognitive resonance be allowed the privilege of licensed firearm ownership for protection of persons and property. With the current prevailing trend of gun violence leaving the social psyche of the masses in fear of becoming victims, and, without police visibility of boots on the ground of the communities most vulnerably impacted: it is a no-brainer to think that imminent need for self protection by any means necessary can be ignored, when the trend of of violent deprivation is so real. Gone are the days of herd innocence, and neighborhood cohesiveness -lost to greed and capricious avarice engaged in by a fetid few; for convenience and malice. Thus, it is inevitable that the clarion call for governance to address this critical aversion of our primordial need for proactive protection; be of immediate effect.

  6. @Audley…You must have written those words tongue en cheek and must be laughing now to see they were posted!!!

  7. If you often read my posts and articles you would know the sincerity that goes behind what ever I write. Zukai is someone that I have known for ages and he is a most decent man….a gentleman in every way. Sometimes some unfortunate things happens to the very best of us and such things are not a reflection of our true character.

  8. Unless that gun and ammunition was associated with a crime, I believe he should be send to the registering and licensing department and given just a warning. Who couldn’t understand the reason he would have to own and possess a firearm. This is a man who employs off-duty officers to protect his business, property and the general public. Sometimes the system causes people to avoid the drama associated with getting anything that they are rightfully deserving to get. This man going to jail sounds over the top.

  9. All them syrians young and old have firearms license and them giving black Business owners problem to get firearms license, free the man , can’t believe they remand the man to prison, free up zuki , the man is a good and well respected man

  10. Oh no! Tell me this is not so. There is no more decent percent that I know than Zukai. He is the epitome of a gentleman and I have known him for more than forty years. But somehow in this country, Peter it seems always pay for Paul. What happened to the businessman who was charged with sex with a minor where, while her mother and a policeman went to jail, he who got the sex was set free. What has also happened to the driver who killed an AUA student and seriously injured another? These are real cases and the perpetrators it seems have evaded justice but now we turn on an honest businessman to try to show the system is working.
Be strong “brods” and appeal this case. You do not deserve to be put in jail.
