Repairs Underway at Corn Alley Following Repeated Water Line Breaks

Work crews from the Ministry of Works were out early on Monday carrying out reinforcement repairs at the top of Corn Alley in St John’s.

According to Works Minister Maria Browne, the site has been excavated several times due to recurring breaks in old water lines. The current works aim to stabilise the area and prevent further disruptions.

Browne expressed appreciation for the ministry’s staff, noting their continued commitment to addressing infrastructure issues across the capital.

  1. Mr. king continue to do your best. However, take note of the abuse of the fuel given to those private trucks. The excavator and other track equipment are not in the fuel corruption, since they don’t leave the work sites. Similarly the trucks leave and do private work with government fuel. In several cases they get paid for works while working on Private Job , on top of the fuel.
You also need to make sure these equipment work for the hours they are getting paid from. Too much ripping of of our tax dollars. I did not mind paying the increase in licensing fees. At the same time I demand accountability.
We have a lot of roads to be repaired and constructed. The only way we can be successful it to be accountable.
Too many men working on that boulevard in Ovals . Talking about that road near Little Canton that can take you to photo genesis or All Saints Road . Saw about 15 guys in a 10 square feet area.
