Rawdon Turner Vows to Deliver Community Hub for Pares
Senator Rawdon Turner, the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) caretaker for St. Peter, has pledged to establish a community center in Pares if elected in the upcoming by-election.
In a social media post, Mr. Turner described the proposed Pares Community Center as a vital hub for fostering growth, opportunity, and social connection.
“This center will be a hub for growth, opportunity, and connection—something our community truly deserves,” he wrote.
Mr. Turner called on residents to play an active role in bringing the project to fruition, emphasizing the importance of community collaboration.
“Together, as neighbors and stakeholders, we have the power to bring this vision to life. Your ideas, your input, and your support are essential,” he added.
The community center forms part of Mr. Turner’s broader vision for improving infrastructure and strengthening community ties in the constituency. He urged residents to join him in the effort, concluding: “Let’s get to work—together.”
The by-election in St. Peter is set to be a closely contested race, with Mr. Turner’s focus on community development likely to be a key campaign issue.

Rawdon go win this hands down. On another note, politicians need to move away from promising community centers, playgrounds, swimming pools. One big chups. The government as a whole need to deliver on infrastructure. Me can’t get water and these roads terrible
Actual solutions to acutal problem.
Rawdon we jsut want our raods fixed and relibale water. That community center can wait.
Water is essential to life itself and cleanliness is next to godliness. Excellent road infrastructure is important. Community togetherness and a place where the people can laugh and play with abandon is also essential to our existence as human beings so yes that community space is important. As stated before, we must always live our lives in an exemplary manner so that when our peoples call on us to lead we can answer.
Enough of the promises and propaganda! Just do it for the Community and not the bragging rights of a political party. God knows; the day the People become INDEPENDENT without being bribed, in the vein of Asot Michael, many of our politicians will be told GO DIRECTLY TO HELL…DO NOT PASS GO! While begging for votes like panhandlers hustling on the corners.
Mussa me nah understand! Is de whole country crying for proper roads and clean water. Is not now either that people begging for the basics. How tone deaf can a part be to ignore the one thing everybody want! Allyuh mussa nah understand.
Turner for the win.
