Rawdon Turner, the candidate representing the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) in the St. Peter By-Election, has pledged to fight for improved opportunities, better infrastructure, and a stronger sense of unity within the constituency.
In a statement shared on social media earlier today, Turner outlined his vision for St. Peter, emphasising that his campaign is focused on much more than politics. “I stand ready to fight for better opportunities, improved infrastructure, and a stronger sense of unity for every resident of St. Peter,” he said.
Turner’s statement marks a significant moment in his bid to represent the people of St. Peter, with Nomination Day symbolising the official start of his campaign.
He expressed his pride and humility in accepting the opportunity to represent his community, highlighting the importance of collaboration, growth, and collective effort.
“This is not just about politics; it’s about community, growth, and working together to create a brighter future,” Turner added. He promised to work tirelessly to improve the standard of living for residents, with a focus on providing sustainable opportunities and upgrading vital infrastructure in the area.
The ABLP candidate also called on supporters to continue their backing, stating, “Your support is the backbone of this campaign.
Together, we will build a stronger, more vibrant St. Peter.” Turner ended his message with a note of gratitude, thanking his community for their ongoing faith in his vision.
As the by-election approaches, Turner’s call for unity and progress has struck a chord with many in St. Peter, with supporters rallying behind his vision for a better future.

FRAUD!!
The ABLP have held this seat for a long time, how come there have not been any improvements during their tenure?
So let me get this right, Asot Michael could NOT get his government (the A.L.P.) to improve the St. Peter’s Constituency FOR THE LAST FORTY (40) YEARS and he (Asot Michael) could not get it done when he was voted in as an Independent last election, but Rawdon Turner, who is not known to be sensible in politics, will get it done? Really?
St. Peter’s people so stupid to be fooled by that liard talk?
We and the world shall see.
Of course he is ready to fight. He fought Asot to his death. He was silent when the ALP was “persecuting” Asot. Had he ever articulated a word on behalf of the people of St Peters prior to today. He was happy with the neglect of St Peters by his government. What fight is he talking about? I guess it is the fight to keep the constituency in a state of disrepair and take the constituents for granted. I sit quietly to see what part of the fowl is constant in the people of St Peters. Lord forgive them. They cannot possibly hate themselves so much!!!!!!
Let’s go Turner. UPP can’t do anything for Antigua/Barbuda.
Rauden turner is confused, he alluded to himself fighting to get things done in the st Peter’s constituency, that is admission that his party don’t do anything in that constituency, so move over and allow the upp to get that
seat while the upp is given time to get their leadership issue in order, they need a person with that capability.
All I am asking is whether that’s the extent of work to be done on Parham back road.
Since the days of Joseph Mayers in the 50’s they sining the same old song, now he come singing the same ALP BS before an election.
I wonder if he turned over keys to huts built for so-called entrepreneurs, that he had a big song and dance over during the last election.
