  1. Take a close look at Holland, Amsterdam in particular as not only is it legal, it seeks to displace the Pimp and empower the provider.
Also the cannabis issue can provide some insight to a more holistic approach.

  2. According to law prostitution is illegal in any form in Antigua/Barbuda no exceptions..so what’s all the confusion and hesitation about???

  3. Legalize it!!. If adults want to buy and sell sex let them. Mind your own damn business. Its legal in so many developed countries around the world. What u should be doing is educate people about safe sex practices instead of locking up n charging ppl.
Its one of the oldest professions in the world and it will never stop.

  4. Buy more pleasure buy more pleasure buy more pleasure 🗣️🗣️🗣️ just put them where they’re more secure that’s all everybody gotta eat by any means necessary except for stealing man that rob people at gun point fi dead gunshot under them cloth nuh jail fi them cause when dem come out a the same thing

  5. Prostitution is the oldest profession in the world. Yet we treat it like some sort of disease in our society. Just follow the lineage of Jesus and you will encounter a prostitute. It is about time that we especially the males in our society stop being hypocritical about women plying the oldest profession in the world. And especially from a mental perspective they are providing a health service and are keeping many men from committing sex crimes. Sex is a very serious human need. And when one cannot fulfill that need it can lead to serious crimes or mental health. What we need to make sure is that sex workers are not abused and miss-used by anyone and that they provide their service in a safe environment. From a healthcare perspective they need to ensure they have the necessary medical certificates and don’t spread any diseases. And they need to pay their taxes. And like any other business they need to have police protection. Many married couples have sex problems and they do not want to seek help. That is why you have especially men having extra marital affairs. When visiting a prostitute you do not need to have an affair. It is a business transaction. In Holland prostitutes are now called “Sex Therapists”. And guess what they are organized into a Union of Sex Workers. The Netherlands is a very Liberal Country that has astaunished the world with it’s Soft Drugs Policy and it’s Prostitution policy. In as much so that the jails in the Netherlands are somewhat empty that they had to convert them to student housing.

  6. Do remember if you move prostitution you will have more rape out there so think about that it’s best to make those men bleed off by paying then to have them hold down people

  7. Prostitution is a crime in Antigua and Barbuda, but it is not enforced for obvious reasons. If the country wants this practice to continue, (and clearly it does) the practice should be legalize. Legalization would help end our collective hypocrisy, implement regulations, bring in taxes, reduce the spread of STDs, and combat human trafficking.

  8. Why the use of Hispanic or Latin women’s. Clearly the picture wasn’t taken in Antigua.
Let’s be for real! Even though this is a serious situation, this country has major issues than this.
No manners, no respect and discrimination are serious facts that have to be addressed immediately.
Let’s encourage and teach our youths and the generations to come some moral’s, civics, real love and respect for themselves. Let’s lead them by example. When these are learnt and put into place then the locals and also tourists will tend to stop speaking about these things.
    This is serious!!!

  9. I totally agree.

Prostitution is one of the oldest professions in the world. The issue is not with prostitution itself—meaning the choice to offer one’s body for money—because every individual should have the freedom to do what they wish with their own body and life.
The real problem lies in the exploitation associated with prostitution. This includes the unscrupulous individuals who take advantage of those who either choose or are forced into prostitution, often seizing a significant portion of their earnings or even enslaving them.
No one should have the right to exploit those who decide to engage in prostitution. This exploitation represents the darker side of the issue.
Furthermore, the ethical argument against prostitution seems hollow. If we were to apply that reasoning consistently, we would have to judge and prosecute young girls who marry older men solely for financial security—something that occurs frequently around the world. This too is a form of prostitution, but few are willing to acknowledge it.

  10. Why raise a foolish argument about prostitution ?
This is so frivolous to even be in the news. We have way more serious problems to be in the new than this piece of shit news.

  12. Why shit up the news with this shit.
Make better relevant news that actually is a problem to the people of this nation.
How did prostitution ever became an issue for debate? when ?

  14. No wonder HIV and Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD’s) is growing at such a fast rate in the country.

Prostitution is a very troubling development here.

Praise the Lord for my gorgeous Antiguan partner. She’s beautiful in mind and spirit. I’m truly blessed 🙏🏽

MIND YOU, ME BEING SLIM AND HANDSOME DEFINITELY HELPS … 😉

  15. don’t judge them alot of women in Antigua sell sex behind closed doors, they look for the well to do men that can support their vain lifestyle to keep up with the Jones.

  16. Wherever there is a need, there is a supply. Prostitution has flourished in Antigua and Barbuda for a long time because our men in particular are highly sexual and very poor at maintaining an honest relationship with a single partner. This crave over the years has fostered the setup of whore houses which in their early days were mainly facilitated by prostitutes out of the Dominican Republic. Citizens of many other countries has since joined the frey in what is obviously a big money making business locally.
Over the years we have virtually accepted and encouraged them by allowing bona-fide whore houses to set up and operate under the umbrella and disguise of bars and clubs.
Antigua and the Caribbean are well known for harboring and facilitating sex workers most of whom move from island to island in order to ply their trade. Their huge returns are usually sent back to their homeland to take care of their kids and families. Here in Antigua and Barbuda, their biggest business day is crew ship days when they cater almost exclusively to the workers on the crew ships and usually US dollars predominate.
For a country with such a strong focus on religion, I am surprised that the church has not been more vocal in denouncing the structured prostitution as we know it. They seem to all just throw their hands in the air and accept that it’s a part of our being.
Something must be done in order to curb it. If it is going to continue, it must be structured, regulated and organized in a way where both clients and prostitutes are tested regularly for HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases. The manner in which they are operating today is dangerous for families and the society at large. We need to have a register of prostitutes in order to safeguard the general public and families in particular.

  17. Why does the modern media spend so much time encouraging ills in society. Legalizing prostitution obviously has serious health risks for society. Why not ask a helpful question such as “How can marriage rates be increased in this country?” “How can young men and women be raised to get along in a wholesome cooperative way with mutual respect?”

  18. I thoroughly concur @ question. Well said, we need more positive views like yours on ANR threads 👏🏾
