Question of the Day:
Does the alleged abduction of Mehul Choksi suggest that smaller nations like Antigua and Barbuda are vulnerable to foreign interference, and should governments prioritize sovereignty over diplomatic relationships in such cases?

  1. It’s a classic case of international intrigue. Choksi’s story has all the elements of a thriller! I wonder if there are more layers to this that we aren’t seeing.

  2. This is the kind of stuff you usually see in movies. Allegations of kidnapping, international law, and a fugitive trying to dodge the system. Really makes you think about how justice works globally

  3. This situation with Choksi is just wild. I can’t believe he’s managed to stay out of India for so long despite the serious allegations against him. Makes you wonder how deep the corruption goes on both sides.

  4. Poor man if he really got tasered and everything like that. Whether he guilty or not in India, you can’t just go kidnapping people from other countries. That’s not how the law works!

  5. First time reading the whole story in one place. Man got citizenship, then drama with India, then got “kidnapped” with some James Bond style plot… and we still don’t know the truth? Only in the Caribbean

  6. Any updates on those Interpol notices for the kidnappers? Seems like this whole thing just disappeared like everything else in Antigua. At least Canada has the guts to stand up to India!

  7. But seriously though, if India’s doing this stuff in Canada, makes you wonder about what really went down here in Antigua…

  8. There’s some serious unanswered questions going down in Antigua.

I almost forgot about the shenanigans with Choksi; and don’t forget the kidnap and murder of the custom officer (also ongoing with unanswered questions); and now recently the murder of Asot Michael, which I predict will be also dragged out or swept under the carpet by the relevant authorities, hoping that time will make Antiguans forget?

The silence on all the above just isn’t right!

Seems like some serious s%#t going on in this country – why does it take so damn long for answers here?

Have we now become a nation that doesn’t question nefarious behaviour in Antigua?

    I HOPE NOT …

  9. The Prime Ministers of two sovereign states have all the answers. It seems like Choksi confided in our beloved, because he was able to say where he went, and with whom.
