On a visit to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center on Sunday, Benjamin was astonished when he learnt that almost all the beds on the surgical ward, were occupied by patients who were involved and sustained injuries during a traffic accident.
He was informed that at the moment, there is a young man fighting for his life as a result of a recent vehicular accident.
The Public Safety Minister is asking drivers to exercise caution on the roads and to observe the rules regarding road use to help put an end to dangerous reckless driving in this state.
Members of the Traffic Department will be vigilant and will not hesitate to prosecute traffic violators.
The Minister is sending a stern warning that this sort of recklessness must stop immediately.
