Protesters Demand Justice in Police Shooting of Bolans Teen

3

Scores of residents gathered outside Police Headquarters on Monday alongside the family of Khaleel Simon, the Bolans teenager fatally shot by police on his 18th birthday.

The demonstration drew supporters carrying placards and chanting for justice as they pressed for accountability in Simon’s death. His relatives, visibly distraught, called for the immediate removal of the officer who fired the fatal shot.

Police Commissioner Everton Jeffers has said the matter is under active investigation, but family members insist that is not enough. They argue that allowing the officer to remain on the force undermines public confidence and compounds their grief.

Simon’s killing has ignited anger across Bolans and beyond, raising concerns about police use of force and the safety of young men in particular. Monday’s protest underscored growing pressure on law enforcement officials to respond swiftly to public demands for justice.
