In celebration of World Read Aloud Day on February 5th 2025, prospective Salim Browne and his dedicated team visited the primary
schools in St George to inspire the next generation of readers and writers.
This global event, which encourages people to celebrate the power of stories and reading aloud, was an opportunity for Browne and his team to engage with the students and promote literacy in the local community.
The visit kicked off with a lively reading session where Browne, known for his passion for education and community development, read a
selection of children’s literature to the young students.
His charismatic storytelling brought the pages to life, captivating the children’s imaginations and sparking their interest in books.
“Reading aloud is not just about words on a page—it’s about connecting with the world around us, understanding different perspectives, and
encouraging creativity,” Browne shared with the students.

World Read Aloud Day, celebrated annually, aims to raise awareness about the importance of reading aloud and the numerous benefits it
offers, from enhancing comprehension to building critical thinking skills.
This serves as a reminder that when we come together as a community tocelebrate reading, we’re investing in the future of our children and
empowering them to become lifelong learners.
