Pringle Denies Claims of Ian “Magic” Hughes’s Appointment as UPP PRO
United Progressive Party (UPP) leader Jamale Pringle has dismissed social media claims that Ian “Magic” Hughes was appointed as the party’s Public Relations Officer (PRO).
Speaking on The Serpent in the Snake Pit show on Saturday, Pringle stressed that any PRO must be elected by the party’s general council, not simply appointed by leadership.
“No PRO can just be appointed by the leadership,” he said, calling the rumors a “diversionary tactic” and emphasizing that Hughes’s alleged appointment was false.
Speculation followed a letter published on April 17 questioning Hughes’s role and intensified after former UPP PRO Winston “Fled” Henry criticized him. Hughes’s 2018 conviction for indecent assault has also fueled controversy online.
Pringle announced that the UPP will soon convene a general council meeting to elect a new PRO and formally reaffirm its leadership processes.

ABLP red herring and diversionary tactics.
What he should do is denounce any affiliation with him.
He may not be the PRO but speaks quite a bit on the party’s behalf.
Maybe Jamale should call out for separation there too.
But who the hell cares? To me, he possesses all the features necessary for that type of position in that type of party. Who else would seriously consider hiring him???
